Mimi Moon Meno is about making a positive impact through, Movement, Mindset and Modification, for Generation X Women and beyond as we move through Peri-Meno and Meno.

I know firsthand the impacts that Peri-Meno was having and how my body and my mind seemed to be morphing. Why was no one talking about this, surely, I was not the only women experiencing these symptoms? Why was information so hard to find? Why so many tests and referrals? Why did I feel ashamed to be on MHT? Why is this costing me so much money!

What I needed was someone I could talk to, to help me navigate the minefield of Meno. I needed answers and to not feel like something was wrong with me because of Peri-Meno!

Then I got vocal. I started telling everyone that would listen that I was in Peri-Meno, even my Dad, who couldn’t believe I was telling him, but it likely answered some questions he had about my behaviour and gave him a better understanding about what happened to his ex-wife and my birth mother.

I talked to my neighbours, some work colleagues, friends, and family. I stopped mumbling and started SHOUTING about what was happening, I needed to let it out! What happened next, was a little bit of a surprise, because slowly over a month or so other women (and some men) in my life started asking me questions, most commonly “who is your GP?” or “who is your Gyno?” or “What are your symptoms?”, then “What is MHT like?”, “Where did you get your information?” The questions just kept coming……and they have not stopped!

I love daydreaming (just read all my school report cards!), so, one day I thought, what if I shared the mantra, I was chanting every day to myself, that really helped me to get back on track? What if I shared everything I have found, so that others don’t have to spend hours down the rabbit hole?

What if I helped others as a “Meno Concierge”, so they don’t have to go through what I have been through? I wonder if my professionals will help me to share info and insights. What if, through creating this movement I was able to support Gen X women and others who needed housing, support, and education about the Meno change?

Mimi Moon Meno was born… !

Movement, Mindset and Modify is the simple mantra that I have created and practice as I navigate my Peri Meno experience. It has helped me to feel more positive and like myself.

Finding the answers, I needed at the start of my change (6+ years ago) was difficult, so I am sharing my story, sharing my medical and health professionals, my mantra, and as much information that I have found, with as many women as I can, so that we can all navigate this change, speak openly about what is going on and feel Positively Charged and amazing every day!

Mimi Moon Meno’s foundation is a tripod (Sirsasana in Yoga) and the power of 3! Peri-Meno and the Meno body and mind modifications can make everything seem upside down, but that is OK, it is just a new perspective that life can be viewed from! The power of three because good things happen in 3!

A tripod because, the 3 points distribute the load evenly to keep you upright. In Greek philosophy the number 3 is considered as the perfect number, the number of harmonies, wisdom and understanding, which you absolutely need at this time. It is the number of time (past, present, future); life (beginning, middle, end) and the number of good fortunes!

Peri Meno has challenged every part of my being and has at times turned me upside down (and inside out). Creating this movement to bring positivity and support to other women has redefined my life purpose. It also keeps me learning! And trust me, I am learning everyday about my body and your body in a way that I never thought I would!

Practicing my mantra of Movement, Mindset and Modify has helped me to find the confidence, stability, and calmness that I had been looking for and knowing that this stage of life has a beginning, a middle and an end gives me courage and energy, to keep evolving and growing and to follow the dream I have created, being Positively Charged and amazing every day!
